Spotted this over at our sister site Gizmodo and just had to share since everyone and their dog’s uncle bob seems to love Game of Thrones.
You know the opening to the show? Which shows a weird model of the entirety of Westeros like a mega steampunk model of sorts that has clockwork and stuff in it. I have no idea how to describe it, but you know what I’m talking about! Well, a group of Australian students from Sydney University’s Faculty of Architecture, Design and Planning are attempting to make a 3D-printed model of it.
All of it.
It involves taking every piece of information provided in the show’s opening, creating wire framed models of it, and then printing it out on a 3D printer. Pretty time consuming process. The plan is to get it finished by the University’s next open day, which takes place on August 31.
Hurry up team… The Open Day is coming.

Hah wow, that is actually pretty awesome! Wonder if it’s the same guys that got the bells playing the theme song.
