Mirror’s Edge + Minecraft = Edgecraft

Nothing surprises me about Minecraft anymore. After watching this brilliantly put together version of Mirror’s Edge in Minecraft my first thought wasn’t, “oh this is cool” it was, “why did it take so long for someone to make this?”

It looks great. Almost predictably great. There is nothing people can’t do with Minecraft these days. Nothing. We’ll wake up one day and we’ll all just live in Minecraft. That is our future. Minecraft will become the actual Matrix and everyone will be cool with that. We’ll just be heads in jars living across an infinite range of randomised universes mixed with imitations of other video games and that really cool Ghostbusters Minecraft thing someone made a while back.

I’m fully convinced this is the future of humanity now. Sounds good to me.

Anyways, apparently this Minecraft map is fully functional in that you can run and jump across the world like the original Mirror’s Edge. Pretty cool.
