A big, expensive PC can make a video game look beautiful, but not everyone can afford a big, expensive PC. If that’s you, these giant screenshots — which, yes, you can use for wallpaper — will have to suffice.
These pics come courtesy of NeoGAF’s 2015 PC screenshot thread, where you’ll find images of not just big, recent games looking their best, but some older games (and emulated console titles) looking hot as well.
Some have been edited a little, whether with post-processing or mods, but whatever. We’re here for wallpaper and awesome pics, not technical appreciation.
Thanks to Spazznid (Black Desert), legacyzero (Metal Gear), RK9039 (Star Citizen), TheTrain (Crysis 3), Lime (Watch Dogs), R8TEDM3 (Ryse), merrickxx (Assassin’s Creed), Unreal (Skyrim), One3rd (Dragon Age), Drunken Master (Remember Me), chromatic9 (Space Engine) and Wasdie (Battlefield 4)

I love pretty looking games, I find that i get drawn into a game and its story even deeper if i find that its visually appealing (which is probably why i find it hard to go back and play older games)
Exactly how I see it.
I prefer artistic style over graphical fidelity. If I can find an old game with a good art style, I’ll play it.
Usually games that are artistic-hand made style, like “Yoshi’s Island” and some other cartoonish RPGs, stands and prevails through time. On the contrary games which had an edge in graphics back then, don’t appeal nowdays (poor Sega’s “Virtual Fighter” used to be so cool on arcades) . For the most part the same effect goes to gameplay, which has improved a lot during the 3 decades of thoughtful planning · oldish games are horrible, especially during the 80s with the ‘one hit deaths’ . Another example that comes in mind is WoW, which with it’s unrealistic character design they managed to overpass time comparing to other mmoRPGs of the 2003 era which had a more realistic and promising aesthetic for that time.
Damn Star Citizen looks sexy.
This is why i love pc gaming. The better it looks and runs the more immersive it is.
a caption on each with the game names would be nice…
Worst photo of DA:I on the internet..
