GTA V Modder Recreates Fast And Furious 6’s Famous Car-Flipping Scene

One of the most memorable scenes in Fast & Furious 6 comes early in the film, when bad guy Owen Shaw drives out of a hideout wrecks the entire London police force using what looks like a giant metal door wedge. YouTuber RUNitsAlpha created Shaw’s killer door wedge in GTA V, and used it to re-shoot the whole FF6 scene.

I’m honestly surprised that the Fast 6 flip car wasn’t already a thing in GTA V:

I know, I know: the faces and character models aren’t great. The man standing in for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson looks like he weighs roughly half of what the actor does. But the composition is almost perfect. Look at this side-by-side comparison:

RUNitsAlpha previously made this tribute to Paul Walker’s very first scene in the original The Fast and the Furious, when he’s seen driving a fancy car very quickly and feeling exasperated about the whole situation:

It’s not quite as faithful as his new work, but it’s still true to the spirit of Fast and Furious, if not the form.

Someday my dreams of a real Fast and Furious video game will come true. Someday.
