Tonight in Anaheim is the annual Geoff Keighley Extravaganza, a lavish celebration of all things Video Game that should have plenty of announcements and new gameplay footage. Also, there might be awards.
The 2016 Game Awards, which starts at 1:00PM AEDT and can be watched on pretty much anything, will feature:
- New footage from Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- New footage from Mass Effect: Andromeda
- A new look at Spectre Knight, the next free expansion to the fantastic platformer Shovel Knight
- Hideo Kojima, who will also be at PSX this weekend
- Run the Jewels
- Memes
- Awards
- Other assorted announcements and “world premieres”
We’ll be covering all the news right here on Kotaku as it happens, so don’t worry if you can’t watch. Should be fun, though.

I’ll only want to see the new game footage, so will wait till after this “event” which like all awards shows (particularly from the US) would no doubt further instill in me a dread for all sentient existence.
