This Week In Games: Attack Of The Demigugu

When you’re drunk, demigorgon can be a surprisingly complicated word to pronounce.

The demigorgon is back in fashion because Stranger Things, which we haven’t had much cause to talk about bar some D&D, is back on the roster this week. Demigorgons are the predators from the Upside Down, and there’s one in my current D&D campaign, but it just gets referred to as demigugu, because translating fish people to Common doesn’t always work.

Most weeks this time of year are generally pretty quiet, but there’s some highlights for Switch owners. Outside of the Stranger Things third season companion game, EA delivers on one of their indie promises with Sea of Solitude. The Xbox has a few more games this week than the PS4, but as you’d expect, it’s the Switch that has the bulk of the love.

  • Sea of Solitude (PC, PS4, XBO)
  • Noyo~! (PC)
  • Stranger Things: Season 3 (PC, Switch, iOS, Android)
  • Red Faction Guerrilla Remarstered (Switch)
  • Dream Daddy (Switch)
  • CLANNAD (Switch)
  • OVIVO (Xbox)
  • Illusion of L’Phalcia (Xbox)
  • They Are Billions (Xbox)
  • ROGAN: The Thief in the Castle (Rift/Index/Vive)
  • Alternate Jake Hunter: DAEDALUS The Awakening of Golden Jazz (PC)
  • Soccer Kid (PC)
  • Gourmet Warriors (PC)
  • What Remains Of Edith Finch (Switch)
  • Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle (Switch)
  • Siralim 3 (Switch)
  • Space Warfare (PC)

Solid mix on the Switch there, especially for VN fans (shame CLANNAD isn’t cheaper, though). Onto the trailers!

See anything you like this week?
