Ubisoft is asking fans to contribute art and music to its upcoming game Beyond Good and Evil 2, with the promise of monetary compensation if their work is chosen. Fans are already diving in with gusto, but critics quickly pointed out the issues with asking people to do work for only the possibility of payment.
Jade, the heroine of the original Beyond Good and Evil, will play a major role in the next game, Ubisoft said. Originally, Beyond Good and Evil 2 was said to take place before Jade was born, but instead a "ferocious young Jade" will appear in the game's storyline.
Beyond Good & Evil 2 was first announced in May 2008. That was over eight years ago. Now, today, in October 2016, series creator Michel Ancel says the game is "in pre-production". OK.
