Despite the fact that they all come from worlds where teams of superheroes save the multiverse on a daily basis, most of the heroes in comic books baulk when they realise that their only hope of surviving the arcs of their own stories is - wait for it - working with other people.
Two years ago, as part of 75th anniversary celebrations for Captain America, a quintet of Marvel mobile games introduced special alt-reality Captains America. Most of them were fine, but the true standout was Marvel Puzzle Quest's Captain Peggy Carter - and years after her video game debut, she's finally getting a comic book appearance.
Last week, Marvel announced a new Exiles book, bringing with it a new team of reality-crossing heroes to fight alongside longtime Exiles member Blink. One was kept a secret, however, until now... and if you saw Thor: Ragnarok last year, she's going to look very, very familiar.
The Exiles were Marvel's premier dimension-hopping band of merry, reality-twisting heroes. Although they were originally primarily a mutant team, eventually they became host to all sorts of weird and wonderful alt-takes on Marvel's finest heroes. Now the team is making a grand return, and bringing some fresh takes on familiar faces.
