Today is Mardi Gras day in Sydney. It’s all happening just up the road from my house. You can feel the party atmosphere in the air. I figure I’d celebrate the occasion by… playing videogames.
Like Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X., for example. I’m not a flight sim or air combat kinda guy, but I hear H.A.W.X. is down the more approachable end of the genre. I’ll be finding out whether it’s a decent entry point for a novice.
Later I plan to tackle the campaign in Dawn Of War II, explore some more of the weirdness within Flower, Sun & Rain, have a few rounds of Street Fighter IV and Mario Power Tennis on Wii, and finish up tonight by scratching that itch to replay S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I’ve been feeling all week.

Playing Odin Sphere at the moment on PS2. Really pretty game. Then I might hit up some street fighter 4.

Instead of actually playing any games, I’ll probably just sit down and wrap up my reviews of 50 Cent: Dis Game Iz Dumb, Yo and Watchmen: Screw You Alan Moore, We Can Do Whatever The Hell We Like With Your Franchise Now. Maybe pick out an awful game to write about for my Hyper column while I’m at it. Fun weekend ahead!

I’m about to through on Enchanted Arms for a couple of hours and then probably have a few rounds of SF4 before watching the Back to the Future trilogy

replaying stalker… I only just found a copy of it in stores to play through it the first time >___> i feel old.
This is the first weekend in a while after a hectic few weeks of constant work (no weekends).
It’s back to rampaging through crowds in GTA4 for me, at least it lets off steam.

Just finished Killzone 2 story. Played a few rounds online… MUST play more… Can’t believe online graphics match so closely to the campaign… Fun, FUN!

I’ll probably be finishing off my review of HAWX and getting suck into some UT3 on steam. I’ve also got to work some more on Implimenting a new physics engine into my copy of Torque.

Working the weekend as always, but pacing myself through The Lost & Damned, bit of H.A.W.X, and I’m 14 months late to the party, but by some quirk of fate I ironed out the strict NAT problem on my router and have started playing Call of Duty 4 (360) online – it’s a steep hill to climb when everyone is so highly ranked.

I’ll probably play quite a bit of Killzone 2 (loving the online) and possibly some SF4 if a friend comes over.

I played HAWX over the weekend and I must say it is the worst plane combat sim ever made. The graphics looked cheap, the handling was pathetic, I could go on for ages. I can’t believe I wasted money on it.
