Galaga goes completely batshit insane with the next re-imagining of Namco’s shoot ’em up series, Galaga Legions DX. This is the next effort from the people who make the Pac-Man Championship Edition games, so we’d better pay attention.
As you can see in the first real footage of this PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade game, Galaga Legions DX aims to fill our screens with thousands of Galaga armada ships, turning this series into more of a space-bug hell shooter than before. One newly touted feature is “Focus Fire”, which appears to offer better control of secondary aiming.
Galaga Legions DX is coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 sometime this year – the franchise’s 30th anniversary. The next classic Namco game to get the DX treatment? Metro Cross!
