The Game Critic Awards, of which some editors of this website are judges, have announced their nominees for the 2013 Game Critics Awards: Best of E3 awards.
These are the real deal; while individual sites can slap a ribbon or badge on anything they want, these nominees were settled on by representatives of 30 of the biggest and most influential video game outlets on the planet.
A quick note on which games were eligible and which weren’t: a game had to be playable by judges. Which is why some games not playable on the showroom floor are on this list, and why others not playable by anyone — like Metal Gear Solid V, Smash Bros Wii U and The Division — were excluded.
The winners will be announced next Tuesday.

Really looking forward to see how Watch Dogs turns out. Like others have mentioned, I think it’s going to be something quite special.
Not enough Dark Souls II. Pretty sure it should win every category.
Best sports game? I guess dying could be considered a sport.
Every. Category.
The sport would be hunting I think.
Pleased to see Rain show up a couple of times. I keep forgetting that thing is coming out and then I see something about it and it’s like finding out about it for the first time again 😀
I really dont understand any of the hype surrounding titan fall. When i saw the footage the first thing that popped into my head was how damn generic it looked. I think it comes down to if you enjoy cod and you can play the same bs every year then this looks riveting to you. I think i’ve just had shooter fatigue for years
Respawn Entertainment is headed by the guys that made the first Modern Warfare game. I’m sure it will have lots of similarities but I would think they would try to diversify it from CoD.
No witcher?? Yeah I just go to gametrailers for this stuff, they do a good job. there is also something about that guys voice, watching game reviews aren’t the same with him haha.
If division was playable 100% itd take out the awards lol
Yeah….the division is my most wanted
Have to agree with you. Although watch dogs foes look good
I find a disturbing lack of FFXIV:ARR in the RPG and Online game part.
No love for Mirror’s Edge 2 makes me sad panda
No mention of witcher 3 in best RPG?… That was best of show 4 me!!
