Ordinarily, you toss a video like this on YouTube, and every comment shouts it down as fake. But anyone who’s played indie horror hit Amnesia: The Dark Descent knows this guy’s skin-crawling, pupil-dilating, sphincter-clenching, headphone-grabbing reactions are on the level.
Yesterday, Minecraft brought to you the Lockout map from Halo 2. Today, it’s the first two rooms of the PC survival horror title Amnesia: The Dark Descent – Minecraftized. Minecraftizied? Minecraftified? Minecraftufactured? Whatever, here’s the video.
I have a soft spot in my flimsy, weak heart for horror games. I’m easily scared and, for some bizarre reason I enjoy being scared. It’s for this reason, and partly because the incredible Dead Space 2 is being released this week, that we’re kicking off ‘The Horror’ – a week of terror-filled video game related posts on Kotaku.
When I received this Reader Review, all I could think of was this hilarious video. But as Zorine Te’s review shows, Amnesia: The Dark Descent in more than just YouTube fodder, it’s one of the scariest games ever made.
