The First Gameplay Trailer For The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

In December we found out that there would be a new Elder Scrolls in 2011, a sequel to the massive 2006 role-playing game Oblivion. Today, we've got our first look at the game in action.

They said it would have a new engine. They promised it would look better than the last one. They told the truth.

The game will be out on November 11, 2011 from Bethesda Softworks.

My Argonian Knight will go through his 4th resurrection in this game, I think. Played through Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion with this guy, and it's been a blast.

As if I weren't excited enough about this.

    Can.
    Not.
    Wait!

I always forget how stirring that music theme is.
Wish I hadn't watched the trailer though, I was containing my excitement before but now it's broken free with a vengeance.

Looks pretty, though I think only as pretty as Oblivion did when it first came out. Graphics were never my issue with Oblivion though, I enjoyed the game but that was mostly by finding my own fun or using mods. Repetitive gameplay, average combat and NPC's that felt more like robots than humans. These are some things I would like to see different.

I think I just soiled myself.

This is great, Bethesda are doing EVERYTHING I wanted from this game:
    - New, natural level up system (no more training skills endlessly, their old level up system was completely broken)
    - Improved animations
    - Less randomly generated landscapes and more crafted landscapes
    - Much improved combat

    I am completely sold.

Goodbye ma, goodbye pa, goodbye girlfriend's breasts.

Day 1 purchase. When the GOTY edition comes out a year later with the DLC and bugfixes :P

    oh, you.

Good to hear the ol' morrowind theme showing up again. Think I liked it better on strings though.

Yeah, I watched it several times. Had to agree on it's level of amazing.

I think I just wet myself.

Sounded like Max Von Snyder? The Planet Ecologist.

Almost.. it's Max Von Sydow, a.k.a. King Osric from Conan The Barbarian. :)

Awesome doesn't even begin to describe this! Loved TES since 2 (Daggerfall).
