Shinji Mikami, the video game creator behind games like Resident Evil, God Hand and Vanquish, is finally getting his own action figure, now available for pre-order at the website of Tango Gameworks, the developer’s new studio.
Featuring “real shaving action”, 256 points of articulation and alternate zombie heads, it may be the best Shinji Mikami action figure of all time.
Yes, of course this is an April Fool’s Day prank. But it’s a pretty darn good one.
“His naturally gentle smile contrasts with his grim workplace visage,” reads the action figure’s description. “The Limited Edition version includes his trademark cap, extra hands, a mask depicting his fearsome work face, and a slew of his trademarked puns.”
Sadly, there’s no way to actually purchase the Mikami action figure, supposedly due to Tango Gameworks’ shopping page being “over capacity.” But we can look, we can dream and we can get to work on our own custom Mikami figures. Where’s my Sculpey?
