Nintendo’s New Console Is The Wii U

Nintendo revealed the name of its new console today. It is Wii U.

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime announced the name at the company’s E3 news conference moments ago, saying the name reflected the gaming-together theme of its predecessor, the Wii, while making it a perfect fit for the individual user, hence U.

The title is Wii followed by a superscript U, pronounced “Wii-You.”
