Suspected LulzSec Hacker Out On Bail

Ryan Cleary, 19, was arrested early last week in connection with a string of attacks on websites around the world. He was recently released on bail.

According to Reuters, Cleary is under a curfew between 9am and 7pm. Cleary's been electronically tagged. If he wants to leave his house, Cleary must be accompanied by one of his parents.

"I'm aware that I'm his best friend as well as his mother, because he's reclusive," Cleary's mother said in court.

Since his arrest, the 19-year-old has been diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome.

As previously posted, Cleary's mum said her son "lives his life online".

"I thought he was playing computer games in his room," she told the Mirror. "I can't believe it. He rarely left the house."

The now disbanded LulzSec claimed responsibility for a rash of recent attacks, including the CIA's website and the Battlefield Heroes beta.

They're locking the gamer kid inside.. sorry, what's the punishment?
He should be doing community service or something.

Yeah, for a guy who was already a recluse, this is business as usual. And the electronic tagging? HA!

He hasn't been convicted yet, he is out on bail until the case is tried in court in which I hope if he's guilty they sever his Internet connection.

    Damn, BEST PUNISHMENT EVER!!
I get worse from my own mother..

I could be mistaken, but I recall hearing he was just an op in an irc channel one of the actual hackers use.

    If so, wtf?

One of the MANY! Progress while making no progress at all.

The best punishment for him will be ban from electronic gadgets (include computer) for 10 years.
