Microsoft Leaves Gate Open, Unreleased Games Now Available

From Dust and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet are both part of Microsoft’s Summer of Arcade Games promotion for the Xbox 360. Neither is supposed to be out, but for some reason, both now are.

This isn’t that big a deal when it comes to From Dust, which depending on where you are in the world will be out in a few hours’ time, but ITSP wasn’t due until next week, so that’s a genuine head start on proceedings.

Both are available from the online version of the Microsoft Store.

  • Sorry to be off topic but since when does Luke Plunkett’s articles have the Australian flag meaning that its a local article?

I know he is the main Oceania editor for the American Kotaku.

  • Wow. I never knew how terrible that MS Store is until now.

Thanks for introducing me to the horror that is Microsoft (again.)

  • Hmm I don’t even see From Dust on the official Xbox site anymore… if you search for it you just get results of Command and Conquer 3, Red Dead Redemption, Burnout Paradise, TDU2 and a pair of avatar jeans. And it’s not listed under arcade games… wtf? Well, time to go home and see if it’s on the actual marketplace

    • I posted this on yesterdays article before I realized there was another one for today

“I cant even find it listed on the Australian Xbox live store… But when I log into my UK account its there waiting to be released.

Under the promotion ‘Summer of Arcade’ you can clearly see it listed with the release date. But in the Australian store and our ‘Winter of Arcade’ promotion its not even listed as one of the games…”

      • Well it’s available from the US marketplace right now. I just downloaded it with a US account and bought it with my aussie account, working fine! I note it’s still not showing up in the Aussie store tho…
