The Amazing 1979 Song About Computer Games

If this decades-old love letter to video games from the antipodes was to your liking, you should probably watch this, the video Space Invaders, by Aussie band Player One. Even if you hate the song, it's an incredible clip. Funnily enough, this was also a big hit in 1980, Australia obviously in the grip of video game fever.

    This song is very familiar for some reason, I think I've seen it on Rage or something.

    I remember when they were on Countdown and they had this repeating line graphic of driving down a road that was very reminiscent of Battlezone!

    Wow that brings back memories -not the song, but the Commodore 64 conversion of Exidy soft's "Starfire" which plays in the background.

    Ahh the old EPYX 4 games-in-one Cassette Pack: Pitstop II, Starfire/ Fire-One and Summer Games II. That was some fun childhood moments!

      That EPYX 4 in 1 tape got a LOT of action at our house. Good memories.

    I must be old, I remember that song. lol!
