This Man Brings StarCraft To Life

Mike Nash is a talented artist. He's also a shy, humble guy. Mike's friend Adam isn't nearly as shy and was more than happy to direct our attention to Mike's StarCraft fan art.

And I'm glad he did, because this is some lovely eye candy.

Nash, a resident of Brisbane, Australia, does character design for games and films, specializing in digital sculpture. And his digital versions of a StarCraft marine, not to mention his stylised concept of a Terran Infiltration Unit (again a render), are a treat.

There's "fan art", and then there's this.

That suit is as digital as my skinny yet some how wobbly butt from what I can tell - which means he's either a bloody great digital artist, or a bloody great reality artist. Either way, I doubt he gets paid enough.

Seriously, look at the nicks in the surface - it's not just a groove with 3d depth, it has little shavings near the end.

I think he's using zbrush. Been watching him for a bit now and the development of the main piece showm here has been pretty awesome!
      Nice work Mr Nash

Amazing! Yeah, that's all I can say.

    Blizzard HIRE THIS MAN NAO!!!

Oh God, don't. Would want this mans talent wasted at Blizz, spending the rest of his days designing gaudy pauldrons.

    And he's a Brisbane boy!
    On ya Mike.

      +1

Impressive work Mike. Make the proud face son!
