As promised, four-player online co-op is here for the PlayStation 3 and PC versions of Warhammer: 40.000: Space Marine, with the Xbox 360 version following soon after. And so the enemy of my enemy becomes my friend.

Relic calls it Exterminatus mode, and it adds two new maps and a standalone game mode to Space Marine’s menu. Four players team up online to face off against the Greenskin hordes, killing baddies, completing challenges, and racking up the points so someone still comes out on top.

I’m re-downloading my Steam copy of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine as we speak. Many Orcs will die this day. Just not on the Xbox 360 (it’s coming soon!).

  • I honestly am a little disappointed as the Xbox also have not have the promised match making patch that the other platforms received weeks ago, wonder if it’ll take weeks for the 360 to get the dlc as well. Would be interested to know how few people are playing on that platform if it seems to be the least supported.

    • Yes it’s free.

For whatever reason, (publisher pressure would be my guess) they didn’t have it in the original release. But now it’s coming and as I recall free.

The news of the Region patch is something I am loving, biggest flaw in it’s Multiplayer is I’m with a bunch of people with a green ping and mine is red. Certainly doesn’t help me.

  • I started playing it this morning on PC, and it’s great fun, playing as a Devastator is a great way to end up with the “True Son of The Emperor” achievement 😀

If anyone wants to play on PC, add me to steam with the name “Morkai AU”
