As part of the Zone of the Enders HD Edition launch, Konami is rolling out a large Jehuty mecha on the rooftop of a building in Tokyo’s geek district, Akihabara.

On Thursday, the Jehuty statue will go up on Shimura Musen Building in Akihabara and should be viewable from the main drag until it’s taken down on November 4. Here is a first look at the Jehuty bust.

  • At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Hideo Kojima’s only connection to the ZOE series is a producing role. Hardly ‘his iconic mecha’ (which would surely have to be one of the Metal Gears in any case).

  • Apparently the ZOE HD collection is supposed to be releasing in Australia next month as well but none of the sites have an actual date, just “November”. Hopefully it’s a global release.
