Old Hitman Games To Get HD Treatment

One crafty NeoGAF forum user has uncovered two Amazon listings pertaining to high-definition re-releases of the earlier games in the Hitman franchise. According to the listings, both Hitman Trilogy HD and Hitman Trilogy HD Premium Edition are slated to arrive January 29 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 respectively.

Both compilations will feature:

  • 3 classic Hitman titles remastered in HD
  • Hitman Contracts
  • Hitman 2 Silent Assassin
  • Hitman Blood Money

Additionally, the Premium Edition for Xbox 360 also has:

  • Exclusive Art Book for Limited Edition version (first run version) 22 pieces of never before seen reinterpretations of classic moments from Hitman Contracts, Hitman 2 Silent Assassin, and Hitman Blood Money all done by top artists.

The packs are priced at $US39.99 each. There's been no word on a PC version thus far.

Why not Agent 47 too? - they seem to list Contracts as if it's the first game but it's the third in a 4-part (five if you include Absolution) series.
That said, I'd be waiting for a hopeful PC release :(

Agent 47 wasnt released on console originally, was never ported either I don't think? Pretty sure the first console Hitman was part 2 on the ps2/xbox.

I may be wrong, but isn't Blood Money already a 360 game? Why does this need a "HD" re-release?

Wait what? Is the existence of this the news, or just the January bit?

Because I saw this listed on Zavvi a good month or two ago when I was looking for something to use a voucher on.

Loved playing these games growing up, can't wait to get back into them.
