The Donkey Kong Rap, As Told Through Left 4 Dead Zombies

Some people might tell you that Donkey Kong 64 is an awful game. According to 10-year-old me (my age the last time I played that game), they are wrong. But hopefully everyone can agree that the Donkey Kong rap is fantastic?

Now, take that catchy tune, and add the Left 4 Dead zombies. What do you get? This amazing thing by YouTube user EdbotnikThe's.

Keep an eye on the witch.

Eleven year old me thought it was vastly inferior to the SNES games and a poor man's Banjo Tooie. Not a bad game, but not a great one either.

It felt (even back then, 14 year old me) like it was a victim of its own over enthusiasm. Also a bit like they threw everything at the wall and published it before the had a chance to see what would and wouldn't stick. Still Rare couldn't make a truly BAD game in those days so it just felt a bit unconvincing and forced. The only big 64 Rare game I haven't finished at least four times. True story.

I almost forgot how truly truly awful that song was. The video had an amusing end but it was not worth having to hear that.

DK64 was bad? I thought it was beloved by most kids and it was critically acclaimed, I know I loved it. But it was extremely hard in spots.

Oh, so now Donkey Kong 64 was shit... it is superior to Banjo Kazooie, and sits at the top with Banjo Tooie & Conker: Bad Fur Day. All created by RARE and containing virtually the exact same game structure. So I don't know what you're on about.

This felt like watching an out of sync dance video.
