Lost Planet 3 Now Scheduled To Cool Things Off On June 28

Originally pegged as an early 2013 release, publisher Capcom has announced that Lost Planet 3 won’t be coming out until June. Specifically, it will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on June 25 in North America and on June 28 in Europe.

The newest trailer shows lead character Jim Peyton landing on the frozen wastes of E.D.N. III and finding out that all is not kosher on the foreboding ice planet. Seems like there’s going to be a plot that’s actually digestible in this Lost Planet — developed by Spark Unlimited — and some storytelling that doesn’t just shuffle players from one big set-piece to the next. We can only hope, right?
