Both contain defenders but the face doesn’t look like anything recognisable.
I suppose the character creator in CoH could manage to create that face.

I have no idea how it fits with the clues but I still think this looks like a character portrait from an Ultima game (from Ultima VI onwards, or maybe Ultima Underworld). If it isn’t the obvious Defender of the Crown guess, of course.
