Dead Rising 3 is one of the Xbox One’s best-looking launch games, but most of what I’d seen of it so far looked far too drab and “serious” for a series as delightfully weird as Dead Rising. That said, this new gameplay trailer has me much more interested.
In two minutes, we get to watch scads of different ways to kill the game’s trademark hordes, from the simple to the absurd. Breathing fire! Donning a shark mask and ramping a motorcycle into a mob of the undead! That’s what I’m talking about!
It’s still a little bit too dark for me — it doesn’t help that this is all taking place at night — but this is certainly a step in the right direction.
