Kickstarter was planning an Australian launch — we were already aware of this — but now we have a concrete date. November 13: this is the day upon which you can create your Kickstarter for some sort of franchise reboot/crazy watch that allows you to travel through time/motion controlled bacon frying device/whatever is fashionable on the internet at that precise second.
In addition, Kickstarter is running Kickstarter ‘schools’ in many of our major cities: Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney are all playing host to these little info sessions in late October. You can find out more about them here.
So get to it. I have money to give you. I could be using the money to feed my child but instead I feel like donating to some sort of strange vanity project that will probably never get finished. EARN MY $20 SO I CAN COMPLAIN TO YOU CONSTANTLY!

Finally! Hopefully this will spur more local interest and I wont have to pay in USD when I back an idea, and also not have to wait longer/pay extra to receive my benefit if it successfully launches.
I’m going to Kickstart Labor’s NBN FTTH plan.
Why not kick start your own? While it was a good idea, Labor let the side down by forming NBN Co and staffing it with people who had their intentions elsewhere.
