As long as the HDD is easy to get at..
judging from the animation, the hdd seems to be accessible through the glossy section of the ps4, maybe it’s removable?
Yeah it’s removable and upgradable because lets be honest 500gb won’t be enough to sustain the long console cycle 🙂
this looks like a second generation redesign already! what do they think they’re doing!? creating a design that shouldn’t be coming until the second iteration at least!
makes me excited of what the ps4 slim might look like.
Ooooh pretty. I like looking at the insides of tech.
So errrr. Where is the rest of it? Crazy how little ‘stuff’ is in our gadgets there are these days yet how obscenely powerful they are.
Not sure what I was expecting, but it’s not exactly an inspired design.
Similar to the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 (and blade servers etc.) they have sacrificed having the fan directly on the heat sink for space reasons. In contrast the Xbox One has the fan directly on the heatsink, sacrificing space.
Plenty of discussion available already in centrifugal (Playstation 4) vs axial (Xbox One) fans.
