That little update in April was the first time that the internet got new Homestar Runner stuff in three years. Now, the cult cartoon’s creators say that we’ll be seeing more of Strong Bad, the Cheat and the show’s other characters soon. Are you ready for a Strong Sad Tumblr?
Vulture rounds up remarks that Homestar co-creator Matt Chapman made on The Jeff Rubin Jeff Rubin Show, which sure seem to hint that one of the web’s earliest original-content hits will be back in some form:
“Our goal — we did that thing as sort of a test to get back into doing it. We’d love to start making things again… It depends on how whole-hog we go, if we give Strong Bad a Twitter or Strong Sad a Tumblr.”
New updates could start coming as soon as the fall. It’s been too long since we got an email or a Teen Girl Squad from Strong Bad. This better happen.

Everybody to the limit! I’m grabbing my kickable The Cheat from the lounge room in anticipation!

3 trophies for the Chort!
EH, STEVE!
Seriously
I never understood the fascination with this. Was I too young/old when it was big? Born in 85.
Maybe it was not 1985’s year. I feel the same and was also born in 85!
It’s definitely not an age thing because I was born in 85 and I’m a fan.
Not an age thing, just a taste thing. I’m ’85 and a big fan. It’s definitely not all gold, but there are some great SBEmails.
Avoid the Telltale game, though. The Homestar humour did not stretch well to a multi-hour experience.
Yeah I’m an ’85er and friggin’ loved it when it came out. It’s just that certain type of ridiculous humour.
My mate still has the Trogdor theme song as his ringtone. And almost everytime I see the word ‘downloads’ I find myself saying “downlooooads!” either in my head or out loud.
This would be great if it could happen but I’m not sure it would have the same impact.
It might sound a bit strange but for some reason Homestarrunner reminds me of the old times and what I was doing 5 or so years ago when I was checking the website regularly. Good times with good friends and flatmates living in Brissy. If I were to take up getting into Homestarrunner again, it would just be …..dunno, different.
and the dragon comes in the NIIIIIIIIIIGHHHT!
You smell like peaaa sooouuuuuppp!
