Look What The Creator Of Kingdom Hearts Has Done To Batman

This is what happens when Final Fantasy character designer and Kingdom Hearts boss Tetsuya Nomura gets his hands on the Caped Crusader.

Part of Square Enix's DC Comics Variant Play Arts Kai line of re-imagined figures — the first of a series designed by Nomura — this Batman is almost more of a Bahamutman, all wings and claws and sharp angles. It's certainly above and beyond any Batman I've seen.

Nomura's Batman (really needs a proper name) will be on display at the Square Enix booth at San Diego Comic-Con today through Sunday. Eventually they will sell it.

I like his headgear, but it's just not practical for doorways.

It's basically a human form Bahamut, which I am perfectly OK with

OMG THEE MOST NIGHTMARISH BATMAN EVER, hence the caps lock, and for godness sakes for the risks of our dreams don't let steven moffat do a redesign of him due to his infamous track record *cough* weeping angels *cough*

I hope I can summon batman in the next final fantasy game

Can this guy (and Squeenix as a whole) just stop with the dadaism already?

Genuinely curious, how is this dadaist? I only did the briefest studying of it at uni and my very vague memories aren't exactly gelling with this design.

If it wasn't for that ridiculous helm I think it would work quite well for Batwing or some sort of Super Armoured Batsuit.

This looks like something I'd see in a Batman Beyond Arkham game.
