Despite putting the game out in the open way back in 2011, Epic has remained relatively quiet about its cartoonish shooter Fortnite ever since. Now it’s finally starting to put the game back in the spotlight by releasing promising footage like this new gameplay trailer.
The short clip shows off some of the game’s fast-paced base-building and zombie-shooting elements. I don’t know about you, but the Gears of War loyalist in me is really hoping that Epic is serious about finishing this new project up.
Epic said that interested PC gamers can apply for a spot in the beta on the game’s website. The company didn’t give any firm idea of when the game might actually come out, but it did say it plans to add more beta players later this year and “even more” come 2015.
Sigh. I guess I’ll just have to keep playing horde mode until then.
