Not content with releasing just four games in two years, Five Nights at Freddy’s creator Scott Cawthon is also publishing a novel based on his hit horror series, he announced over the weekend. It will be out on December 22.
“This is not something recent; I’ve been working alongside a professional writer for the last ten months crafting this story,” Cawthon wrote on the Steam forums this weekend after announcing Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Untold Story. “I’m very excited about the finished product. It expands the mythos and reveals a human element never before seen in the games.”
Five Nights at Freddy’s: The Untold Story will be released for Kindle first and then in paper next year, Cawthon says. Presumably it will help more people figure out just what the story of Five Nights actually means.

Usually you get a book before the movie deal
Kindle? No epub for Kobo?
HAS SCIENCE GONE TOO FAR!?
Will it be a pop-up book?
That actually might work. Have a innocent looking page, pull the tab, and Nightmare Fred Bear pops up, complete with electronic scream.
Love it already!
Talk about milking a series. He should get a job at Infinity Ward.
