An Assassin Returns In A New Movie Produced By The Russo Brothers

An Assassin Returns In A New Movie Produced By The Russo Brothers

The Russo Brothers, Anthony and Joe, just released Captain America: Civil War and have begun to prep Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 and 2. They’re also going produce an adaptation of the graphic novel Sexcastle, and a few new writers — who also happen to be a team of brothers — have just been hired.

The Hollywood Reporter explains that while the Russos boarded the project in January — along with director Kyle Newacheck (Workaholics) and star Blake Anderson (Workaholics, Dope) — 20th Century Fox has now hired Daniel and Matthew Libman to adapt the screenplay. They’re best known for working on the show Happy Endings.

The amazingly named comic series by Kyle Starks is about the world’s greatest assassin who attempts to retire, but is sucked back in. It’s comparable to Kingsman: The Secret Service, according to reports, so Fox moving production ahead makes sense. The studio is making a sequel to that film already, and would love another franchise.
