Hollywood design and effects legend Steve Wang, who has worked on everything from Predator to Hellboy, was recently commissioned to build a new League of Legends statue for Riot Games. Wang and his team knocked it out of the park.
The statue is of Lucian, and boy is there a lot going on. In addition to the amazing sculpture work Lucian’s gun lights up, and there are both light and smoke effects for the base.
Below are some pictures of the finished product. Below them are some progress shots that give you an idea of not only how much work goes into something like this, but how many people need to be involved.

He’s crazy talented but he didn’t design predator. A simple google would have told you this.
But “Guy who worked on Predator movie…” isn’t as catchy of an article title.
That said, he is listed as ‘creature designer’ in a number of references… So I can see where it might stem from.
So can I, but it’s wrong and really, really bad in the long run. If people can just make up facts, eventually people start thinking it’s true. Stan Winston designed the predator from an idea given to him by James Cameron. That’s the truth, it’s an awesome story and it’s something that people who are interested in this kind of thing should know.
