Witcher 3 players can be tossed into two distinct buckets.
People who played the game, who fell in love with the universe, the writing, etc.
And people who play Gwent.
This new, beautifully made guide is for people who want to play Gwent, but are a little intimidated. It’s really quite good.
It’s part of an already existing “Newcomer’s Guide To The Witcher 3”, made by Kerry Parsons. It comes as a well-timed update, given that a standalone Gwent game has been announced, given that people are playing Blood and Wine, the latest Witcher expansion.
It does cool things like this:
It’s a mixture of text and visual teaching. For people like me who are intrigued by Gwent, but more than a little intimidated by learning how to play a video game within a video game — this is super useful.
You can check out the whole thing here on imgur, or you can download the PDF here. Kerry has also made a printer friendly version.

I can’t enjoy the world of The Witcher 3 and play Gwent…?
I loved Gwent but once I had all the spies, decoys and incinerate cards it got kinda easy.
I love both aspects of the two aforementioned above by Mark, Gwent is super easy to get into and you can master it fairly quickly. Look forward to this card only game!!!!!
I made a gwent guide as well.
1. Fill deck with spies and decoys.
I know it’s a bit of a long read so here’s the Tl:DR: SPIES!
Thank you for writing an article about my guide! I just want to let you know that the link to download the PDF has now been updated to a host without ads etc.
It also contains an improved version of the guide with a number of fixes over the version mentioned here.
The link to the Imgur album already displays the updated version 🙂
Please let me know if you’d like the links to the updated PDF’s, since I doubt I can post them here.
