While tens of millions of Americans decide who should be their next president, Square Enix is offering a far more crucial choice: Where should you pre-order Final Fantasy XV?
The above image is not some sort of twisted parody. It’s an actual screencap of Square Enix’s YouTube page, where they have 16 – 16! – different pre-order DLC trailers. Some of them are for Amazon; others are for the Square Enix store; others still are only available when you pre-order digitally on the Xbox or PlayStation storefronts. The only way to snag’em all, as far as I can tell, is to pre-order four or five different copies of the game. To keep track you’ll probably want a flowchart, or this handy list (via Gematsu):

Devious or just annoying? No matter your personal feelings, I think this is evidence – and this might just be a wild guess, but hear me out – that Square Enix wants you to pre-order Final Fantasy XV.

I think it’s a good thing, because it actually shows you in-game what you’re getting for your pre-order money.
Personally really dislike DLC like this. Executed poorly, and that’s often, games offer weapons that undermine the balance of the game, or make it so I can go half the game without finding upgrades.
This kinda DLC I am okay with them using for pre-orders. Its reskins of weapons! Who cares! But don’t pull a Deus Ex, Far Cry, etc and bargain off a whole damn mission or two!
If its small content: OK. Big content: NO!
Fuck off. Extra glad I don’t give a shit about this game or this series any more. This is fucking disgusting.
If only it was coming to PC….
