Gordon Hunt, director and father of actress Helen Hunt, has died at the age of 87, THR reports. In recent years, he’d been doing a lot of very important video game work on series like Uncharted.
Hunt, who oversaw voice work on The Smurfs, The Jetsons and Scooby-Doo at Hanna-Barbera before going on to direct episodes of TV’s Mad About You, transitioned into video games around the turn of the millennium, perhaps most notably serving as the director of motion-capture and voice acting in the first three Uncharted games, while also helping out on The Last Of Us and Uncharted’s Vita outing.
Other series Hunt worked on as a motion capture or voice director included God of War, Legacy of Kain and SOCOM.
Hunt, who had been battling Parkinson’s Disease, is survived by his wife and three children.

He directed voice work for Legacy of Kain? Respect.
Interesting and varied career
I wish they had someone like him working on the new star wars movie, CG imperial old guy looked fine until his lips moved. The movement in uncharted looked 100x more natural.
He also directed Captain Planet.
