Visual overhauls to the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 are nothing new, of course, but this complete overhaul of the Naturalvision mod is something else.
Now called NaturalVision Remastered, its creator promises that despite how good everything looks the actual performance is “similar to vanilla GTA V”.
Here’s a trailer:
As PC Gamer point out, the mod went a little further than just moving some sliders around and changing the lighting.
Razed, its creator, spent over 1200 hours on the mod, which included “more than 40 hours of video footage, hundreds of photos and researched a variety of neighbouring districts within the Los Angeles and Salton Sea areas” so that he could “produce the most realistic visual experience currently possible with GTAV’s game engine.”
Razed says that there’s also video game inspiration for the mod’s look, which comes from games like Forza Horizon 3, Watch Dogs and, interestingly, Grand Theft Auto IV.
If you want to try it out, you can grab it here.

The mod definitely looks spectacular in low light or night situation and rainy scenes are most certainly note worthy.
Nice.
Yeah, I was going to say I wasn’t all that impressed with the start, some of the effects in Vanilla are pretty amazing already, even on console.
(But I think it was the clear sky box and its depth that was on display at the start)
Those rain effects though, goddamn!
The rain itself looks so solid and weighty.
Damn, makes me want to buy it for PC. Dunno if I can justify purchasing my third copy of the game though.
ouch, it was on sale, just last week for about $30us i think for PC.
anyone know the name of the real life car mod. or is that part of his natural vision mod?
so does anyone have this installed? if so how does it compare with Make Visuals Great Again with Reshade & ENB?
