If watching Jeremy Clarkson and co. isn’t enough, then maybe a video game featuring their bickering might do the trick.
The spin-off, to be released on PS4 and Xbox One, is being made by Amazon Game Studios and will tie into The Grand Tour‘s third season.
“Buy a Season Pass for The Grand Tour Game and every Friday during Season 3 when a new episode of the show arrives, you’ll get new vehicles and new tracks from that episode to play in the game,” Amazon says in the description for the trailer, below.
A press release noted that TGT game will have four-player splitscreen, feature challenges from the show, and will include Mario Kart-esque power ups like “High Tea, which spills tire-shredding cups and saucers”.
Given that the game will tie into the series, the launch of the latter gives us a pretty good idea for a release date. Filming began on the third season of The Grand Tour earlier this year, with Jeremy Clarkson tweeting out that “our work in China is done” in late July. The previous two seasons of the show aired in November 2016 and December 2017 respectively, so I’d be stunned if The Grand Tour Game (and the third season of the show) didn’t drop before the holidays.
