QUOTE | “I think Nintendo becomes completely irrelevant.” — Michael Pachter, analyst with Wedbush Securities, talking about Nintendo’s inevitable future because “nobody’s going to support it”.
QUOTE | “Right now there’s a feeling that the console game industry is stagnant.” — Designer Travis Chen, talking about his shift from working on console games like Halo and Call of Duty to designing mobile games.
STAT | 11 per cent — Amount US game sales at retail (hardware, software, and accessories) dropped for November over last year’s November; hardware sales dropped 13 per cent.

STAT | 50 per cent — Amount of the total US app revenue for the first 20 days of November that was taken by the top 25 developers; all but one of those developers (Pandora) was a game developer.
STAT | 1.75 million — Total amount of all consoles Nintendo sold in the US in November; that included 425,000 Wii U units and 540,000 3DS units.
