Hey, it’s LA Cops! When we last saw the game – which my brain registers as the Beastie Boys’ Sabotage video vs Syndicate – it was pretty early code. Now things are looking a bit more structured.
In this clip, we see how the two-player mechanic works. We see a cop called Kowalski. We also see lots of dudes get shot in the face.
And you know what, the more I see of this game, the less of a Syndicate vibe I get. I’m more reminded of EA’s classic Crusader series. Which is a very good thing to be reminded of.
LA Cops will be out at the end of the year.

Exactly how loose of cannons are these guys, exactly?
Which button is “too old for this shit”?
One tab playing beastie boys sabotage while watching this trailer on mute was an awesome idea. Thanks Kotaku!
I’m probably the only one, but I friggin loved the Starsky and Hutch game.
I’d get it if it was turn based.
And I am so glad it ins’t turn based!!!
IMO, turn based mechanics make games frustrating and unrealistic.
It totally ruined Xcom for me!!!
But each to their own I guess.
The thumb for that trailer reminder me of Interstate ’76
