Sony closed its E3 presser tonight with some familiar faces: Nathan Drake and Sully in Uncharted 4. And boy, does the game look gorgeous.
You can’t marvel at the sights in the demo for too long, though — soon enough, Nathan and Sully find themselves shooting their way through a market as all hell breaks lose.
A list of impressive things shown off during the demo:
- A TON of destructible terrain and environment. At one point, Nathan hides behind bags of flour — and they deflate as enemies shoot them. Throughout the rest of the demo, Nathan’s car crashes into all sorts of stuff, and it all seems to dynamically react to the impact. The market also has a ton of knick nacks that go flying when shot. Bonus: the bigger the weapon, the more destruction it causes.
- The sheer number/density of people the game can show. Every single person appears to be doing something, too, making the (very lush) world seem lived-in.
- When you shoot enemies, they seem to react to the specific area you shot them in.
- The setpieces still seem meticulously designed, and give a good sense of ADVENTURE.
- Enemies seem smarter, and will team up on you.
In short, the demo looks almost unreal. You’ve got to see this for yourself:

Don’t forget the bit at the beginning where Drake was just standing there doing nothing….
That’s his special ability. You need to click in both the sticks at the same time to activate it.
He was people watching 😛
I liked the part were Drake couldn’t move because he knows he’s not going to make it out of this game alive.
I like the part where Drake was so scared of the civilians that his life quickly flashed before his eyes.
Ugh. Gotta get home so I can watch all this epic stuff.
lol! You should work for a news organisation. All things need to be accessible, because “news”.
The most charming mass murderer returns.
Ahhh, the famous goldeneye nut-shot.
The demo so nice it started twice.
Looks really good, is it just my player or was it stuttering though?
Was there any news on the remake pack for the originals?
Uncharted: Stand and Watch edition.

Except for when it did, and the demo restarted.
I’m glad it ‘malfunctioned’ as you got to see how realistic the NPCS were, which shows how much detail ND puts in their games, not to mention the chase and its effects were like watching a full length movie.
The mag on the gun kept disappearing.
