Pretty sure he can afford it
Thanks to all the in-app $$$ his wife brings in from her game aimed at children?
This is not a good article.
This is a good comment.
This is a good observation

This is …. SPARTA!!!!!
This is hurting my head.
I wonder if he’s spoken to his wife and her family about this?
To be fair, he is fucking his wife.
*resists urge to make joke about microtransactions*
I actually like this one from Kim Kardashian on her app aimed at children with in app purchases.
And today on ‘words I never thought I would say’ we have “I agree with Kanye”.
It is all well and good to have controls set but having iap in kids games where they can’t understand the concept just that if you click this it lets you play that fun game again. So you have to say they can’t play the game, even if the game is saying you can do this, just ask your Mum and Dad.
There is no reason for it in a game aimed at toddlers, it is exploitative plain and simple.
Also IIRC in the US you have to link a credit card to your iPhonw when you set it up – which makes it even worse.
@dogman @Tigerion
I should have mentioned I totally think that Kanye is correct, I just wanted to point out that he was being somewhat of a hypocrite.
Kanye has made many good points over the course of his career…
No one man should have all that power.
If she has one of your kids she does got you for eighteen years.
Beyonce did have one of the best videos of all time…
power, man. dat beat.
Drive slow homie… drive slow.
While I agree with Kanye, his next tweet mentioned the kid is 2 yrs old. Why the fuck are people letting kids use expensive devices at age 2? I wasn’t even allowed to turn on the fucking tv when I was 2. If you’re dumb enough to let your kid use something like that unsupervised, you deserve any charges or breakages that may occur as a result.
With the cases and the like you can get these days you can protect the hardware quite well. With a basic kids game that is tap or swipe to make things happen I don’t see an issue. Not saying I would let Tiglet but whatever. I agree that if you let them to that unsupervised then you get what you deserve, but as a developer why would you put IAP into a game that is targeting kids. Either you are deliberately hoping there is an auto card setup so they can rack up purchases without parent knowledge or they want to bring the nag factor to bear. In a game designed for toddlers they don’t have the mental maturity to understand the concepts.
To be fair, Kanye actually does say some rather profound, great things from time to time. The issue, though, is that it’s hidden among his myriad of egocentric shitposts.
Those controls are unreliable at best. Pretty much everything that allows for credit card purchases aggressively pushes you to let them remember the details in order to make future purchases easier (while rarely providing adequate tools for removing the information or even decent tools for checking what information is stored). My Microsoft and Apple accounts both drag in as many financial details as they can while spreading them over multiple devices.
I can agree that using parental controls is a must but even if they worked flawlessly there are still plenty of other reasons to not want in-app purchases in software aimed at kids.
People need to take more responsibility for their activity online. Kim is right – although it’s often easy to be complacent with devices that we use all the time, one must still be responsible for their use and misuse. Don’t let your dickhead child on that thing unless it’s set up appropriately.
Fuck Kanye.
I think you meant Kona… No wait. Carry on.
Fuck Kanyemi?
No, Fuck Kony. #MakeKonyFamous
He likes fish sticks.

“In-app Products, $1.29 – $129.99 per item”
Mate, I think you need to have a word to your wife.. dumbass
I guess with the law of averages even a deluded fucktard like kanye has to say something intelligent at least once in his life. Doubt it will happen again anytime soon tho
I like how he didn’t say which app so they wouldn’t get any free publicity.
I guess it was aimed at Kim’s games
awe poor little north east south west doesnt want microtransactions in his games? im sure his dad keenway south can afford it.
this tweet doesnt make Kanye not a douche….
