It’s almost May, which means it’s time for your annual dose of leaks and teases leading up to the yearly Call of Duty reveal. As of today, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3‘s Nuketown map has a teaser for this year’s game, which isn’t announced yet but will be called Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
This morning, in what was most certainly an organic match of Call of Duty and definitely not part of an Activision marketing plan, NBA player Karl Anthony-Towns teamed up with Twitch streamer Swiftor to play some Nuketown. During the stream, they discovered that the ending of matches on Nuketown now contains a spaceship (pictured above). Subtle!
Clearly, as has been rumoured, Infinite Warfare will be way into sci-fi. Rumour suggests there will be space combat, which sounds pretty rad. It will also come with a remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which the COD twitter account confirmed in the best way possible earlier this week. Now we just wait for them to, you know, announce the game.

Remember the old COD vs Halo debate? Call of Duty fans occasionally claimed it a superior series based on that COD used real settings compared to Halo being sci-fi. Now all Call of Duty needs is aliens. Maybe in a couple more sequels.
They already had aliens in CoD: Ghosts Extinction mode, so wouldn’t be surprised if aliens appeared in this next one
The coolest part of this news is the Modern Warfare remastering, that was the best one of any Call of Duty, it was certainly the most fun especially online.
Bring it on!
I really hope you can buy the remaster separately. I have no interest in buying any of these new Call of Duty games but I am dying to get back into CoD 4.
Agreed, these cookie cutter CoDs are not really interesting but woild love to go back and revisit where it all started.
