This week’s The Game Awards – which last year featured an anthropomorphic razor blade – has announced that industry legend Hideo Kojima will be returning to the award show to present an award.
In a tweet earlier today, The Game Awards producer and creator Geoff Keighley announced that Kojima will present an award alongside filmmaker Guillermo del Toro.
It is always a great honor to welcome @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN to #TheGameAwards. I’m happy to confirm Hideo is attending and will present an award with @RealGDT on Thursday night! You won’t want to miss it. pic.twitter.com/czTIww6WDH

Kojima and del Toro are working together on Death Stranding after their Silent Hills project was cancelled. The world premiere of Death Stranding was shown at last year’s event.
Will Death Stranding make another appearance at The Game Awards? Let the endless speculation continue!
Felicia Day, Alisha Tyler and Zachary Levi will also present awards in what I’m sure will be a very restrained and respectful awards show, highlighting the great work done in the video games industry over the last year.
The Game Awards start at 12:30 AEDT on December 8.
