12 Minutes From The Sinking City

Fans of all things Lovecraft might like to know about The Sinking City, a third-person mystery adventure about a city that’s a bit broken.

A decent chunk of gameplay was uploaded recently, showing off around 12 minutes of Oakmont’s semi-flooded streets. You’ll see some of the cities’ odd inhabitants, some odd water creatures, some of the investigation mechanics, and a bit of the combat.

It’s got commentary throughout, but it gives some idea as to what people can expect when the full game drops for PC, PS4 and Xbox One in March 21 next year.

There’s a bit of The Evil Within here with the scarcity of combat, but The Sinking City seems to angle more for the spooky investigation route than outright horror. There’s some weird shit in here – sewn up bloody teddy bears, anyone? – but if you’re a Lovecraft fan, it might be your thing. There’s more info on the Steam page, if you’re intrigued.
