DC Comics' ongoing line of Hanna-Barbera comics have led to some of the best (and at times, weirdest) comics around - but another delight has been the regular crossovers these characters get to have with DC universe mainstays. Another wave is on the way, which means that Aquaman is going to meet Jabberjaw, and I can't wait.

DC's crossover game is strong lately. Not only do we have things like Justice League/Power Rangers on the way, along with the next Batman/TMNT crossover, the company has now announced that several of its weird (and very wonderful) comic takes on Hanna-Barbera characters will now host a series of team-ups with DC's own finest heroes.
In their original forms, Space Ghost, Mightor, and Birdman didn't get much in the way of character development. They got called into action, kicked arse, and had a hearty chuckle at the end of their adventures. But Future Quest adds tragedy and real stakes for the heroes that started showing up 50 years ago.
Look, that right there is one hell of a headline to have to write. But in a world where DC Comics is giving us all sorts of weird Hanna-Barbera series -- from profane cyberpunk Scooby Doo, to post-modern Flintstones, to sci-fi spy-fi in Future Quest -- I guess the thought of Garth Ennis writing a Wacky Races spin-off isn't too far out there.
