The dream is a good one: An interactive application that can really, truly teach you to play guitar. And Rocksmith 2014, even more so than its ambitious predecessor, is aiming to do just that.
Though it recently removed its onerous always-on DRM requirements for PC games, evidently the fact people are still able to play them remains a concern for Ubisoft. That must be why the publisher shipped copies of Rocksmith in Europe without activation codes. On the other hand: Totally secure product!
Ubisoft’s real-guitar game Rocksmith has gotten a pretty mixed critical reception. Some writers enjoy the game’s take on the music game, while others (including me) have been critical.
