When voice actress Rie Tanaka isn’t capturing the hearts of otaku, she’s snuggling up next to them vicariously through her hug pillow. One Rie Tanaka hug pillow has been available for purchase. Until now.

Hug pillows are called “dakimakura” with “daki” referring to “hug” and “makura” meaning “pillow”. Dakimakura covers typically show anime-type characters.

Like the previous Rie Tanaka hug pillow, the latest ones feature images of Rie Tanaka. One side shows the voice actress in a bunny costume. The other side shows her in a leggy nightgown. The new hug pillow cover is priced at ¥9450 or US$117.

Rie Tanaka (Phantasy Star Portable, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3) is such a popular voice actress that she even has her own trading cards.
