Attached to the good news that the ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection would get the classy box art it deserved was a word of warning for those looking forward to more from The Last Guardian soon.
Sony wrote on its official blog that “The Last Guardian is not on the schedule for this year’s Tokyo Game Show.” Apparently, Team ICO lead “[Fumito]Ueda-san and the rest of the development team are hard at work to bring his lofty vision to life and deliver the very best gaming experience possible,” hopefully sometime in 2012.
The Last Guardian, originally announced at E3 2009, was pushed from holiday 2011 to 2012.

Friday, September 9, 2011 at 9:35 AM“a giant bird-cat-thing-sized bummer” is one of the best phrases I’ve seen from the US guys for a while.
Also, I’m not sure whether to be happy or sad about this news.

Friday, September 9, 2011 at 1:01 PMThis game will be my reason to buy a PS3, so on the upside the console is only going to get cheaper the longer the delay.

Friday, September 9, 2011 at 4:18 PMYeah, but this seems to be typical of Japanese game developers. They seem to be given the OK to develop a project with no deadline. Not that it’s always a bad thing, it can allow them to really nail the delivery but lately that hasn’t worked for some titles…GT5 for example. The MGS series was always a long wait for each title but I think worked.
Strange though that the FF series has been like this of late, there has been alot of vanilla been pumped out by those guys of late. But I’m happy to wait for The Last Guardian, it looks pretty awesome.

Friday, September 9, 2011 at 1:46 PMOne game at a time, I suppose. I’m looking forward to the HD remakes. Let Team ICO polish TLG to a bright shine.

Friday, September 9, 2011 at 6:12 PMdoesn’t bother me. as long as it remains a PS3 exclusive, I’m likely never going to play it. Looks nice though, if you’re into that type of thing…
